Poiesis
The heart of the creative laboratory is in the name POIESIS. The entire communication strategy is developed around the universal cultural significance of the word POIESIS.

The name
Poiesis (ποίησις) means to bring something into existence that didn't exist before. The word originates from ancient Greek poiein, meaning "to make" — the same root that gives us "poetry." It was first articulated as a philosophical concept by Plato, who made the crucial distinction between praxis (action performed for its own sake) and poiesis (making that produces something beyond the act itself). This distinction positioned poiesis as the mode of human activity concerned with bringing forth new realities into the world.

Plato's philosophy
In Plato's Symposium, the priestess Diotima offers a remarkably expansive definition: "Every cause of anything passing from non-being into being is poiesis." For Plato, this wasn't limited to craft or art — it encompassed any act of creation, from writing verse to building ships to conceiving ideas. The poet and the carpenter were both engaged in poiesis, united by the same fundamental movement: bringing forth what was not yet into what is. Creation, in all its forms, shared this common essence.

Heidegger's philosophy
Heidegger reclaimed poiesis as central to understanding truth and technology. In his essay The Question Concerning Technology, he describes poiesis as a "bringing-forth" (Hervorbringen) — a revealing that lets something emerge into presence. Unlike modern technology, which forces nature to yield its resources, poiesis works with what wants to come forth. For Heidegger, the craftsman and the artist practice a kind of attentive dwelling that allows truth to disclose itself through their work.
OUR MISSION
Poiesis is more than a design laboratory. It's a creative space that reveals the unity beneath all creative disciplines.
PROCESS
All creative acts are the same

PHASE 1
Collect
Any creative mind needs to be fed with good references, and the creative process starts with good inspiration. This is the phase of gathering ideas, references, influences, and experiences. Read widely, observe closely, and develop your understanding across domains. The more diverse the inputs, the richer the foundation. Curiosity drives this work: collect generously and remain open to unexpected sources.

PHASE 2
Connect
Innovation emerges at the intersections of old ideas combined in a new way. This is where collected fragments begin to speak to each other, where insight from one domain illuminates a problem in another. The creative leap happens not by inventing from nothing, but by connecting dots others haven't seen together. Play with unlikely combinations, then recognize when something true emerges.

PHASE 3
Craft
Now the vision must become material. This is the phase of making, where attention shifts to execution, detail, and refinement. Crafting demands presence: a sustained dialogue between intention and material, between what you imagined and what the work wants to become. Poiesis completes itself as possibility crosses into existence through patient, skillful labor.
